Business-to-Business Software Distributors Wanted

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Business-to-Business (B2B) Software Product Distributor.

TrakSoft LLC, a 21-year Software Development Firm, is currently seeking experienced, energetic, and self-motivated Business-to-Business (B2B) Software Product Distributors who can contribute and share in the benefits of our continued growth. Our distributors manage their own clients and exclusive territories, building the overall business by acquiring new clients and upgrading and retaining existing clients. Distributors may also provide services to our clients such as training, installation, customization, and report development earning a nice hourly rate.

Our Distributor Program Includes:

  • Outstanding commission and compensation rates
  • Ability to generate billable hours by providing services to your clients (not required)
    • Installation, Data Conversion, and Training Services
    • Customization, Report Development, and Linking to Other Systems
  • Exclusive Territory. (Many territories are available)
    • You do not have to live in or near your territory, but it is recommended.
    • You may make sales outside your territory, as long as you do not make sales in another assigned territory
    • Other distributors cannot make sales in your territory
    • If we receive any leads through our marketing efforts for your territory, we will pass them on to you.
  • Work independently from your home or office establishing your own hours
  • No investment or inventory to purchase or maintain
  • No travel required

Exclusive Territories. The available territories are listed in the application below. If a territory is not listed, that territory may have already been assigned to a Distributor. If the territory is marked "Pending Application", there is a pending Distributor application for that territory. If a pending application is not accepted, then you may be considered for that territory. If you do not see an area on our territory list that you are interested in, please request that area in the comments area of your application.

Distributor Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect for new clients by generating and following leads to closing opportunities within your territory.
  • Respond to product information requests.
  • Provide proactive account management follow up for upgrading and retaining existing clients.
  • Learn and master our software product to be able to provide on-line, web-based product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Generate and work leads in your territory.
  • Locate and develop relationships with potential clients.
  • Make one sale within the first six months and at least one sale each month thereafter.
  • Maintain records of potential clients in our CRM System.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of your territory, clients, and potential clients.

Typical Distributorship Scenario. A typical scenario would start with the distributor performing research on the Internet identifying organizations within the Distributor's territory that could be a potential client. Next would be to identify the potential product user within the organization and make contact with that person, via e-mail or phone, to determine if they have a need for the product. If a need exists for the product, the Distributor would ask to schedule an on-line product demonstration. For a potential client with a true need for the product, the product usually sells itself during the demo. Once the potential client has made a purchase decision, the Distributor would connect the potential client with our Account Executive who would close the deal by invoicing the client. The Distributor position has very little sales duties involved.

Required Skills:

  • Have one or more years in marketing, sales, distribution, or enterprise level software support.
  • Be a self-starter and can work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Have previous experience with providing on-line demonstrations, training, or enterprise level software support.
  • Be able to quickly learn and master our software product.
  • Be able to provide quality on-line software product demonstrations to potential clients and to address each inquiry with the proper information about our product based on the customer’s needs.
  • Be organized and have excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently.
  • Have a computer and high speed Internet access capable to provide on-line, web-based product demonstrations.
  • Ability to work with clients from a variety of industries.
  • Have the ability to identify the potential user or users of our software product within an organization.
  • Ability to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor.

Note: If planning on providing professional services, such as installation, setup, data conversion, report development, and/or training, must obtain and maintain the necessary technology and skill sets to provide the services, or have an adequately trained staff or subcontractors with the necessary skills, technology, and equipment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Have one or more years in software or technology marketing, sales, or distribution.
  • Have above average computer skills with experience in enterprise level software, enterprise level databases, and the Internet.
  • Previous experience with Contract Management or Contract Management Software.
  • Experience as a consultant and working on global deals.
  • Network of contacts.
  • A college degree.

Distributor Compensation:

  • Progressive commission rate. The rate increases as the number of sales are made each month.
  • No limits or caps on commission sales. Can earn over $52,000 a year with only two sales a month, or over $86,000 a year with three sales a month, and more.
  • Providing professional services to clients can result in $50 to $80 per hour.
